The Arbiter by Michael Rohde / L-Plan (Germany)

Light is the arbiter of surface, of texture, reflectivity and absorption, turning material into magic. This beam of light is modulated by the shape of the acrylic plate. It refracts light creating a pool of spiky light beams. The presence of the object is captured on the prismatic mirrored surface.
